Hi Emile,
Know the feeling, I think I've been away about 50% of the time the last couple of months, hence the late reply.
You're right on the Humbrol paint, a clearcoat would really be needed to stop it rubbing off, but I'm only using it on small areas which aren't being touched, the light posts and gauge bezels, so I don't see a problem, it was the easiest fix. The panels themselves will get fingers on them but they were cleaned back to base and sprayed with 2 pack.
I'll drop Graeme an email shortly, it's long overdue for a catchup.
Cheers

Hi Jon,
Just wondering about the Humbrol paint and how resistant it is to rubbing etc. I used to build kitsets and paint them with that type of paint, and found that I needed to apply a transparent layer over the top of it to protect it.
Also, Graeme has been unable to find your email address. Obviously I can't leave mine in this place, but have you got a fax number that I could fax it to ?
Sorry, haven't been around here recently : out of the last six weeks I spent four out of town for work with only the weekends to catch up with things...

Oops, just realised I hadn't been back here to see if you'd found my post. I see you have, and I'll ask Graeme for your current email address. Actually I was on the phone to him only an hour or two ago. Will be in touch.
Cheers,
Emile.

Hi Emile, good to hear from you, I remember the Triple 7 and Duxford well, it was a great day out! "Slowly" is the word - if I had 2 weeks of no distractions (ie real aeroplanes) we'd be well on the way. Thanks for looking and let's keep in touch - I've lost your email on an old account, Graeme has my new one, would be good to catch up with you guys in NZ. Cheers Jon.

Looks pretty amazing, Jon ! I've been following progress from a distance and enjoy seeing your concept slowly turning into excellent reality.
Cheers,
Emile.

Hi Rob,
Sorry for the much delayed response, there's so much spam email it hides the real comments, and I finally decided to sit down and wade through everything. I'll just have to blame the workload at ACL for me not getting enough done on the cockpit or replying to emails!!

I'm taking a week off at start of October and hope to get the visuals and sound system in place so at least I'll have something to fly even if the flight controls and rest of the panels aren't yet hooked up. Just dismantled the Captain's seat today, it's in pretty good shape, adjustments and belts all work etc, but I'll get it cleaned up a little and might respray it. I know it's an F27 but most visitors expect to see something "factory fresh"!

Once I've got the basics in place, you're welcome to pop in one the way down or back from the office in DUB, if you're ever down this way.

Cheers

Hi Graeme,
Good to hear from you, even if you have been a jammy so & so at Shanghai, lucky b*****d, sounds like you got the VIP treatment !! It's been 5 years since I was last at a GP, managed to do Monaco 3 years in a row; great way to spend a weekend. This season's turning out interesting, definitely not a one horse race for once.
Yep those doors'll keep yacht varnish manufacturers in business for a while, really pleased with them, and it adds to the surprise that lurks within!
I'll definitely put a reciprocal link up to your site, still trying to get the hang of this website lark, but will give it a go.
Cheers

Hi Jon,
Just added a link to you from my new page (also in word-press). Must admit a heap easier to edit and add to. Nothing new down here. Just been to Shanghai for the F1 race. Brilliant time and had an invitation into the McLaren pits and garage between 2 & 3 qualifying. Magic time.
Boy those garage doors are pretty upmarket!!!

cheers
